BOOK NOW - Bowenwork Therapy at Atlas Naturopathic!

Atlas Naturopathic is now offering Bowenwork therapy at their Rockport Maine location.  Lexi Heiser, a Professional Bowenwork Practitioner (PBP), has joined Atlas Naturopathic Health Center and will offer Bowen Therapy on Wednesdays.

What is Bowenwork therapy and how does it work?

Bowenwork® is a gentle form of complementary bodywork that can help assist the body in healing itself. Bowenwork initiates a series of responses through stimulation of the nervous, musculoskeletal, fascial and energetic systems of the body. Bowenwork recalibrates the autonomic nervous system and balances our stress response.

Often referred to as homeopathy of bodywork, Bowenwork utilizes delicate inputs to the body, engaging the body’s natural healing abilities.  Bowenwork was developed in Australia in the 1950’s by Tom Bowen and is now practiced in over 30 countries.

What is the therapy session is like?

Bowenwork is gentle enough to do with infants to very elderly, and everyone in-between.  It involves a series of movements targeting tendons and joints followed by resting periods.  After treatment, the body will continue to heal itself over the coming days.

Who can benefit from Bowen?

Bowenwork can be beneficial for people of all ages and degrees of health.  Bowen is beneficial for a wide varies of conditions, including, but not limited to

Digestive Support : including indigestion, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Reflux, G.E.R.D., and more.
