Islesboro announces extended hours for absentee voting in presence of town clerk

    ISLESBORO — The town clerk for Islesboro has announced some extended hours for in-person voting ahead of the November 3 election. 

    The town office will remain open until 7 p.m., instead of the usual 4:30 p.m. closing, Wednesday, Oct. 28. The office will open, as scheduled, at 10 a.m. 

    Thursday, Oct. 29 marks the final day to request an absentee ballot without a special circumstance for the upcoming election. 

    The town office will remain open an extra half-four until 5 p.m. for voting absentee in the presence of the clerk Friday, Oct. 30.
